At Evolve X Studios, directing isn’t taught in a classroom — it’s experienced on set.
Students begin by shadowing director Alex Engle and the main production team as they bring a feature-length sci-fi film to life. You’ll watch how scenes are blocked, how actors are directed, and how creative choices shape the story in real time — all while being encouraged to ask questions and break down each decision.
Then, you’ll step into the director’s chair yourself — leading short, reality-style story units for our social media series. These smaller productions let you practice communication, framing, and tone with a full crew and actors, applying what you’ve observed in the main unit.
By the end, you’ll have real leadership experience, on-set confidence, and IMDB credits that prove you’ve directed for both narrative film and modern digital storytelling.
